{NEXT!}

Today, although we are busy preparing Thanksgiving Dinner, my mom made Will & Olivia waffles with strawberries and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Will ate 4 waffles. Seriously, is this boy a teenager already? Less than an hour after eating, they are both began pestering me for a Halloween Candy (aren't we out of that yet?!) and I nicely told them no.

After an unsuccessful bid to Grandma for the same, Will exclaimed, "But I'm still hungry! I could sure go for another waffle."

Olivia,  without missing a beat, tackled Will on the leather armchair and said, "I could sure go for another brother!"

{4 Sisters}

Olivia has apparently reached the stage where she has immaginary friends, or in this case, imaginary sisters. For awhile now she has told me things about her sister, Alia. "My sister Alia does this or doesn't do that, etc."

However, she recently informed me that she has FOUR sisters.  Some of them live in Virginia. Some of them live in a different Virginia (West Virginia, I suppose?) and some live in California.

I asked her what the names of all her sisters are.... and are you ready?
1. ALIA
2. SILKY
3. DINKA
4. NINA

I got the giggles so bad and had to keep asking her to repeat the list over and over because I just didn't want to forget anyone, especially Dinka.

{BEE Grateful (for Priceless Moments)}

I hope I can do this justice and I so wish I had been holding a video camera to capture this precious moment.
Last week, as I was leaving for work, Olivia came upstairs to show me her dress up costume. She and our babysitter Kathryn were having lots of fun getting dressed up like princesses. I suddenly remembered that I had purchased a bee costume for her at CVS before Halloween. They had all their costumes on a ridiculous sale and I couldn't pass up the darling bee costume. I figured it would be a nice addition to her dress up box and was waiting for the right time to give it to her.

As I pulled it out of the sack and Olivia saw if for the first time, she exclaimed (and enunciated each word).
"OH. MY. GOSH!  IS THAT FOR ME? OH MOMMY! THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH! IT IS BE-U-TIFUL! I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!"

She stripped off her princess dress in record time so that she could don the bee costume.  Her reaction was so much more than I could have ever hoped for.

{Master Manipulator}

A couple of nights ago, Olivia had an unfortunate accident. She fell down our (wooden) stairs! Once I got her calmed down, I had her point to which stair she had fallen from. Sadly, she took me to the top of the staircase!  It's amazing to me how resilient little kids are. A little motrin, pink blanket and some TLC and she was as good as new.

A little while later, however, when it was time for bed, she looked at me, held her head in her hand and said, "I can't go to bed, Mommy. My brain is still broken."

{Tic Tac Awesome}

Yesterday when I picked up Olivia from school, she had a darling bag of treats care of the twins who celebrated their birthdays in class yesterday.  One of the fun treats was a wooden tic tac toe game, pink and purple with flower & heart pieces (so girl - so Olivia).  Since we have about 25 minutes to kill before we pick up Will, I told her we could play a few rounds.

For the first game, I let her go first, and then the next game she let me go first.  I placed my piece on the board and she said, "I'm going to go here right next to you. Because you're awesome."

{Civic Duty}

Overheard this morning:

"Are you going to go voting with us today, Olivia?"
"Yeah."
"It's boring." (Totally trying to discourage Olivia from honing in on his time with Daddy.)
"I like it."
"You don't even know what voting is."
"Well, I still like it."
