Since the fire, we have been lucky to have Phil home with us for two weeks. Prior to the fire he was super busy with Barbie v. Bratz (serious) and was never home. So despite losing our house and all our belongings, the fire has been somewhat of a blessing.
Me to Will & Olivia: "Hasn't it been fun having Daddy home with us? I don't know what I'll do when he goes back to work."
Will: "Oh whatever, Mommy. You'll survive it."
And he's right. I will.

Is there a Doctor in the house?
Will came to me yesterday, holding his ear.
"Mommy, my ear hurts. Can you please put a band-aid on my ear?"
Today he was diagnosed with a DOUBLE ear infection.

I wish it were that easy!
It's been a couple weeks since our fire and we've tried to prepare Will & Olivia that we will be living in a different house for a while while they re-build our "fire" house.
Will: "Mommy, let's just get a new house. Whatever."

Heaven Sent
Today while the kids were playing, Will was bugging Olivia (seriously?!) and my mom intervened.
"Will, please stop bugging Olivia." Without missing a beat, Will turned to her and said, "You just need to go back to heaven, Grandma Kat."

Dirty Rules
Will (in sandbox): Melissa, I'm kind of dirty.
Melissa: Yeah, that's okay. That's what kids do - they get dirty.
Will: Yeah, boys can get dirty, but girls shouldn't. Hey, do you think my mom will wash my pajamas?
